Friday November 28th saw the switch on of Rawtenstall’s Christmas lights by the Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Rossendale, and Dawn, David and Kath were there to represent the CFR’s.
The whole thing started with a lantern parade commencing at Mr Fitzpatrick’s Temperance Bar at 4pm and making its way through Bank Street to Rawtenstall Market.
Once at the Market, there was a warm Christmas atmosphere with plenty to do in the indoor market, lots to eat and drink and be merry. The team even took some time of Santas busy schedule for a couple of pics.
The lights were switched on at 6pm with accompaniment from Water Band playing Christmas tunes.
