Over two training sessions in September and October, we welcomed Emma Carey back to deliver training for those wanting to support the Heart to Heart initiative. We were delighted to have her with us this evening for another valuable session with the Rossendale Community First Responders.
The training focused on developing reflective listening skills for supporting people who have experienced trauma, as well as exploring a bespoke debrief model that has been created in partnership with acute sector colleagues and adapted for use with the public.
As first responders, we bring a wide range of experience from attending medical emergencies, and we’ll be available during future support sessions to answer any questions about cardiac arrest, our equipment, or emergency response procedures. We also regularly provide training in basic life support, which participants will have the opportunity to take part in at the end of each session.
