About Community First Responders

Community First Responders (CFRs) are trained volunteers who form an integral part of patient care. Trained by NWAS Paramedics and EMTs, they are dispatched to medical emergencies ahead of an ambulance, providing vital early interventions during the crucial first minutes that can save lives and improve patient outcomes.
