Make a Difference Where It Matters Most
Do you have a minimum of just 4 hours a week to give back to your community?
Do you live or work in the Rossendale Valley?
We’re looking for people who:
- Thrive on a challenge and can think on their feet
- Are calm under pressure (or want to learn to be!)
- Care deeply about helping others
- Are empathetic, compassionate, and good with people
- Able to cope with potentially distressing situations
- Want to be there when it matters most — first on scene at a 999 emergency
If that sounds like you, join Team Rossendale as a Community First Responder with the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
No medical experience? No problem!
You’ll get full training from NWAS medical practitioners. You’ll learn life-saving skills, build your confidence, and even improve your public speaking through community events, CPR/AED training, and patient interaction.
What’s in it for you?
- Bi-weekly training to keep your skills sharp
- A supportive network to share experiences and challenges
- Joint training with Police, Fire Service, and Mountain Rescue
- Real friendships and a strong team spirit
- The chance to save lives in your own community
Because when someone’s life hangs in the balance, your presence could make all the difference.
Step forward. Volunteer. Become a Community First Responder.
