The King’s Coronation Awards

On Monday 21st October 2024, Rossendale CFRs had a special awards evening. Some responders received the King Coronation’s medals for 5 year service. Others received commemorative coronation coins from the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE).

The King’s Coronation Medal is a prestigious national award, given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service to their community during King Charles III’s coronation year. These medals recognise the dedication and tireless contributions of emergency service personnel, including volunteers, like Rossendale CFRs, who have gone above and beyond to serve the people of Rossendale.

These prestigious awards were presented by Mrs Louise Cooper BEM DL, who is one of Lancashire’s Deputy Lieutenants and is also the District Lead Volunteer for Rossendale Scouts.

The awards evening also provided an opportunity for reflection on the future of Rossendale CFRs. With growing demand for emergency first response, the group aims to expand its team of volunteers and continue to deliver life-saving assistance across the valley. We are always looking for more individuals to join our team and make a difference.

We would like to express our deepest thanks to Mrs. Louise Cooper BEM DL for presenting the awards, We are also incredibly grateful to our families, local partners, and supporters who have been by our side throughout our journey. The continued support of the Rossendale community is invaluable to our work.
