Thowback to the 60s

As the day comes to an end for Rossendale, we take a look back at today’s Sixties on the Square event!

The weather managed to stay dry, and by noon, the sun was beaming upon us, it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed their time on the square, and we met a lot of interesting people!

We met with Nurse Gladys Emanual and she showed us how it’s done!

Rossendale Team Leader and the immacuately dressed (homemade, by the way!), Dawn Taylor, instructing Rossendale MP, Andy MacNae, on how to perform CPR on ol’ Annie.

While we were engaging with the community, Denise, who lives in Rawtenstall, hosted a raffle to raise money for a brand new Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD)! She had some amazing prizes on offer, and her brilliant efforts raised £1000 in total!!!

Thank you to the kind, generous people of Rossendale for helping raise money for this lifesaver, it’s chosen location is next to the Boots in Rawtenstall.
