A milestone fifteen years in the making is almost here…
On Saturday 18th July, Community Defibrillators for Rossendale will proudly unveil our 100th Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD).
From a single community defibrillator installed in Rawtenstall back in 2011—the very first of its kind anywhere in the North West Ambulance Service region—to a network of 100 lifesaving defibrillators protecting communities across the Rossendale Valley, this is a moment worth celebrating.
This special installation has been made possible thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of the young people from 1969 (Rossendale) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, supported by local businesses, volunteers and our amazing community. It perfectly reflects what can be achieved when Rossendale comes together with one shared goal – helping to save lives.
Joining us on the day will be the founders of Community Defibrillators for Rossendale, members of Rossendale Community First Responders, RAF Air Cadets and many of the people who have helped make this remarkable journey possible over the last fifteen years.
📍 Where is our 100th defibrillator? Well… we’re keeping that a surprise for just a little while longer!
